InstantMarkets is a California AI company working to democratize access to public sector business. In the US alone there are tens of thousands of government entities, each running its own procurement system and publishing opportunities in its own way. We bring all of it into one place, so that vendors — including minority-owned, local and other underserved suppliers — can find bids and awards without visiting a thousand separate websites.
As an Associate Content Developer you are assigned government websites. For each one, you work out how its listings are built and write a configuration file of XPath statements that teaches our crawler where the opportunities live. It is careful, detailed, puzzle-like work, and it feeds the engine that hundreds of thousands of vendors depend on.
You do not need experience. We train you on HTML and XPath from scratch, and you earn while you learn.
Responsibilities
- Study assigned government websites and work out how their listings are structured
- Write XPath configuration files that tell our crawler where each field lives
- Test your configurations against the live site before submitting them
- Fix configurations when an agency changes its layout
- Keep clear notes, so the next person can pick up the site
Must Have
- Studying at, or recently graduated from, a technical institute in Noida or NCR
- A technical foundation to build on: some exposure to HTML and XPath, or clear ability to learn them quickly
- Comfortable reading and writing English — every site you work on is a US government site
- Careful with detail: you notice when something is one character off
- Your own laptop, a reliable internet connection, and a phone with browser access
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with XPath, CSS selectors or browser developer tools
- Comfort with structured data — spreadsheets, JSON, or a little scripting
- Any coursework in web technologies, databases or programming
- A habit of finishing puzzles rather than abandoning them
